I just finished watching tonight’s episode of Lost after bowling a crappy series that barely broke 300. Approximately three weeks ago, just after the last new episode, I correctly guessed which character wasn’t going to make it through tonight. Needless to say, I quickly forgot about my crappy bowling. If you haven’t seen the episode yet, stop reading and come back later. Otherwise…

Top 10 Tips for Great Pictures
This is a pretty cool list of ways to take better pictures. I’m happy to say I’ve been using most of these techniques for quite a while now.
I’m really looking forward to adding more photos to this site. I’m hoping I can make it a regular thing, but there’s a lot of planning I need to do first. Be on the lookout for more visuals coming soon.
Yellowcard Happenings
I heard on the radio that Yellowcard guitarist Ben Harper is leaving the band to focus on his record label (the one that did Yellowcard’s first few albums). Hopefully it won’t hurt them much. Their new album is coming out soon and supposedly it’s got a heavier sound. More information at their official site. I’m looking forward to the new album either way. I hope they come to the Madison area sometime soon.
Update: I just had a chance to watch the music video for their new single Lights & Sounds. Pretty good stuff.
Ghostbusters 3?
Apparently Dan Aykroyd has written a new script and wants Ben Stiller to star in the third installment. Is it even possible for this thing to do well? I mean, I’ve seen the original and it’s second installment. They are entertaining; I just don’t know about another one.
Family Guy
Here’s a collection of assorted Family Guy videos that most people probably haven’t seen. Some were cut out of aired episodes and didn’t make the DVD sets. There’s also a short film by Seth MacFarland from when he was a student.
#$%@ CBS
So I’m working on categorizing old posts while I watch the Chiefs game. The Raiders had just come back to take the lead late in the 4th quarter. They’re kicking off to Dante Hall with 1:45 left in the game, and suddenly CBS cuts to the beginning of the damn Packers’ game already in progress! With that little time left in a close game would it really have killed them to let me see if the Chiefs could pull out the win? No, I didn’t think so.
Update: The Chiefs drove down the field and Larry Johnson scored a touchdown from one yard out before time expired.
It’s Done
I’ve successfully installed WordPress. Now to start my Blogger import, clean up the server, and get my template reset…
Goodbye Blogger
I Went to post tonight and Blogger was choking hard. For hours, it wouldn’t post anything, but instead threw up some unhelpful error (001 java.net.UnknownHostException – what the hell is that?). In the meantime I managed to screw up my template and left things looking crappy until I was able to hack together a fix. I don’t even know if this post will show up anytime soon. Anyway, it’s been a long time coming, and this was just the push I needed to end our 19 month relationship.
Blogger, you made it incredibly easy to get on the web, and I thank you for that. You’ve come a long way with new features, usability, and decent reliability. But It’s time to move on. Don’t take this personally, I’ve just found a better blog system.
I will very soon be switching over to WordPress, most likely before the end of the weekend. More on that later.
Edit: It’s now 7:45 the next morning and Blogger is finally allowing me to post again. I’ve also discovered that Blogger now has the ability to moderate comments, but I don’t get spam comments (yet) anyway, so I don’t think it’s enough to save this thing.
Super Mario Brothers
So apparently this video is pretty old (some people were complaining about it), but I had never seen it until today. Coupled with some screenshots I saw a few days ago, it looks pretty cool. Between this and games like Mario Kart coming out soon…I really want a DS. For now Amber says no. Guess I need to take another certification test.
My Fridays Are Now Complete
For another year anyway. Battlestar Galactica has been renewed to join SG-1 and Atlantis for another season. Luckily ourhaving a DVR means I don’t have to stay in every week and can maintain some semblance of a social life while still enjoying these shows.
