I’ve always liked his stuff. Here’s a pretty nice compilation of Escher’s work.

Next season will be the tenth for Stargate SG-1 and the third for Stargate Atlantis. It would also make the original the longest running SciFi series in US television history, beating out X-Files. It really deserves it. I’m eagerly awaiting the second halves of the current seasons.
Between the Stargates and their followup Battlestar Galactica I can’t get enough of SciFi Friday. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that BSG will get renewed as well. These shows are just amazing, and I’m not just saying that because I like Science Fiction. I really believe these are series that anyone can get into, whether you are into SciFi or not. I hope all of the cast members return. There isn’t really anyone I would want to get rid of on any of the shows. I’d kinda like to see Ford actually come back in Atlantis, too. I feel like he kinda got the shaft in season two. Now if we could only get Richard Dean Anderson to come back to SG-1 more often…
Wow, I’m a little slower than usual on this one. SPOnG is reporting they know when, how, and for how much Revolution will launch. I’ll remain skeptical, but this would be pretty freakin’ sweet. I’m really surprised they’re talking about a worldwide launch as opposed to the staggered launches of the past. It just means those of us in the US and Europe won’t have to wait so long this time around.
Edit: This story has popped up elsewhere, although I’m not sure I would say “various online sources” just yet.
Things like this just make me laugh. I’m sure it will be fixed soon and all you Xbox fans can get your taste.
I finally managed to call a travel agent to try and solidify our Honeymoon plans, and I think it was an excellent idea. I went to Sandals.com and picked out an agent between here and Milwaukee and I think I got incredibly lucky. When we were planning our family vacation to Hawaii my mom called a travel agent but couldn’t seem to find a better deal than what we were seeing online. I think this time is going to be different though.
This particular agent has been to Jamaica over 100 times and has been to all of the Sandals resorts. So even if we decided not to book through her, I can pick her brain and ask all kinds of questions that I can’t really get from reading a review or looking at pictures. She also recommended Couples as an equally good option. So I’m off to check more stuff on the web and wait for her call to tell me what she found on pricing.

It’s official. I’ve finally started working on a new site design. I’m trying to do things right using CSS for a standards based layout. I’m saying goodbye to tables, so this is a new experience for me. I’ve used CSS quite a bit before, but never without tables to structure the site. No promises on when this thing will be done. It’ll probably be a work in progress for a long time, especially since I hope to do this all on my own. If I want something like rounded corners that will require custom images, I’ll have to create them all on my own.
There’s several things I really want to be able to do with my site. I’m hoping I can add a photo gallery of some kind, because I have a pretty decent digital camera and haven’t really shown off many of my pictures. I really want to create a layout that will allow me to easily change the theme to coincide with the current season or whatever holiday is coming up, hopefully with some kind of artistic image highlighted at the top of the page (similar to HumanRadiator.com). I’m also trying to be less dependent on Blogger for everything except some of my content (and I hope to phase that out at some point as well). Still considering a change in domain name, but I’ve got this one for another five months, so it won’t be happening right away.

Colorware is coming out with a scratch resistant coating for the new ipod. It will be available in 460 different color combos and will include a coating called X2. Depending on how well the coating protects the iPod, I would seriously consider paying extra to get this just so I wouldn’t have to cover mine up with a case.
Not only is it nice outside, our A/C hasn’t been on almost all month. Our electric bill went from $85 to $25! Sweetness. Now if we can just hold off on the heat a little longer…

Two reasons I’ve avoided this. One, there aren’t enough HD channels in this area to be worth it. Two, it’s confusing. There are so many different options and resolutions that I just figured I’d wait for it to be more prevalent before I looked into it. Well, I’ve slowly been gathering knowledge from various online articles and I have to admit my interest is piqued. HD TVs don’t have to be thousands of dollars anymore if you don’t need the biggest LCD or Plasma screen and HD service from Charter is almost reasonably priced. Plus, watching football on Chris’s HD set looks really sweet…
Articles like this help make things less confusing. Now I just have to decide how long I can wait before I switch to HD.
Many software develoers (many of them from 3rd parties) sound encouraging about revolution. It sounds like people worried about third party development may be worrying for nothing.
